Bay Area Science Festival
October 25 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PDT
An event every day that begins at 8:00 am, repeating until November 2, 2019
The Bay Area Science Festival is a 2-week, annual celebration of science with dozens of events stretching from Santa Rosa to San Jose.
The 2019 Festival is Friday, October 25th-Saturday, November 2nd.
This festival does for science what other festivals do for film, literature, painting, and music: it engages attention, inspires interest, and fires imagination across entire communities by offering large numbers of activities and events during a short period of time.
Led by UCSF SEP in collaboration with scientific, cultural, and educational institutions, the Festival provides a wide range of activities – behind the scenes tours, performances, talks, free family science days, and more. –at locations throughout the Bay Area. We seek to celebrate the Bay Area’s scientific wonders, resources, and opportunities by exploring the role of science, engineering, and technology locally & in the world.
Each year, more than 70,000 people attend Festival events. Most events are free.
