Drum & Song for Kids! Tyke Tunes II: 6yrs & Up BIPOC
June 16 @ 11:45 am - July 28 @ 12:45 pm PDT
For young people who want to build community, dig deep into rhythm and drum technique, sing, move, and get LOUD! Participants have the chance to try out a variety of drums and percussion instruments, learn and share songs and make new friends.
We are so excited to have this summer 2019 taught by the amazing Tata Salah Kongo.
Tyke Tunes II for BIPOC (by BoomShake Music) is drum, rhythm and song sharing, play, and education classes for children ages 5 & up and the adults that they bring with them. We work together to build and share a repertoire of music, songs, dance, and stories from the ancestral cultures and languages of participants and facilitators. We look forward to discovering and learning with you.
Class sessions involve open play/mingling time, singing, dancing, storytelling, games & drumming activities with a culminating community celebration/potluck day at the end of the season’s session. More details below.
