Join us every other Saturday at 2:00 p.m. for free magic shows performed by local artists from the Silicon Valley chapter of the International Brotherhood of Magicians (Ring 216). There are two different shows, usually by two different performers. One show starts at 2:00 and the other starts at 2:30.
Then stick around to learn magic during a free workshop. It’s perfect for kids, adults, and everyone in between. This workshop is free and no reservations are required. Just show up and have fun!
Feel free to order tickets on EventBrite, but no tickets are required. All seating is first come, first served. Even if the event says “sold out,” you can still come to the venue to watch the show.
Shows take place at Studio by Terra Amico, a home furnishings store in San Jose. Seating and parking are limited, so arrive early to get the best seats.
Schedule for Winter/Spring 2019:
January 12, 26
February 9, 23
March 9, 23
April 6, 20
May 4, 18
June 1, 15, 29
Is there any cost for the show?
No cost. Most of the magicians do this as a hobby or side job. However, magic is a surprisingly expensive hobby, so if you like the show, you are welcome to put some money in a tip jar at the venue.
What is the seating like?
As the photo shows, this is a very casual environment in the corner of a large furniture store. We use folding chairs and chairs from the store itself. On very crowded days, we may run out of chairs, but kids can sit on blankets in the front and adults can stand in the back.
If I get a ticket on Eventbrite, will that guarantee me a seat?
All seating is first-come, first-served. We do our best to accommodate everyone
Are there minimum age requirements to watch the show?
All ages are welcome. However, children under 5 may not understand the magic and may get bored quickly.
What are my parking options at the location?
The Midtown Arts Mercantile has a parking lot that covers all the businesses, including Studio by Terra Amico, Good Karma Bikes, and Hapa’s Brewery. The parking lot can fill up on busy days, so you may have to find street parking in the neighborhood. That’s why it’s a good idea to arrive at least 20 minutes early.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Send email to email@example.com with any questions.
